Community Resources (CRI) is a 501(c)3 educational non-profit that has served the students and families of Denver Public Schools for 50 years! On April 14, 2023, CRI will celebrate 50 years of serving the Denver Community at "Soaring for CRI: a 50th Anniversary Celebration and Silent Auction". We are in need of volunteers to assist with planning the event and/or volunteering the evening of 4/14/23 at the Forney Museum of Transportation. Ideally we're looking for volunteers event planning and/or auction planning experience but are also in need general help (no experience necessary). Community Resources, Inc.(CRI) supports literacy, academic achievement, and curriculum enhancement for students and their families by providing programs and activities which utilize community volunteers as teachers, speakers, mentors and professional advisors.

Description

Community Resources, Inc. provides educational opportunities to more than 100 schools and 70,000 students each year. To accomplish this, CRI calls upon the knowledge, energy and commitment of hundreds of volunteers from the community. CRI brings volunteers into classrooms to share information and expertise on hundreds of topics. CRI also creates family reading, math and science nights that bring students and their parents back to school to have fun learning together. The Academic Mentors program matches gifted students with professionals in the community in areas of career and curricular interest. Finally, CRI develops and conducts career fairs, science fairs, multi-cultural festivals and other customized special events for elementary, middle and high schools.
