This spring break we are bringing back the Astronaut Spring Training activities! This program was a big hit during spring break week last year, with kids experimenting with all kinds of fun activities about space and exploration! Although this is a science-y event, you don't need any knowledge or training to help out. Anyone can lend a hand as kids explore the activities either by helping them directly, orienting guests to the program, or taking pictures.

Activities Assistant: Help kids explore Earth and Space through activities. We need your help with guiding young people through activities with the help of our museum educator. All the activities are already created with easy-to-follow instructions. Families just need your help following them!
Photographer: The Event Photographer is in charge of taking candid photos of guests participating in the program. The photographer should bring their own camera if possible. GLCM has a small point-and-shoot camera you may use, but a modern cell phone is much more powerful.
Event Greeter: This is a pretty simple job! At this station you would greet participants as they enter the program, point out the activity stations around the room, use a clicker to track the number of children and adults participating, and report attendance numbers to the Front Desk at the end of your shift.

Description
Volunteers are vital to making the Museum run smoothly. Volunteers make it possible for the Museum to offer exciting, educational, safe experiences for all our visitors. Contributing your time and skills benefits our community, while developing new skills and interests, meeting new friends, and making a difference in the life of a child. The Museum provides endless challenges for creativity, imagination, and exploration, and is currently looking for help to fulfill its mission.
