Community Engagement Intern

Dress for Success Greater Philadelphia seeks a Community Engagement Intern to support the DFSGP team in both the strategy and execution of its referral partner outreach and network. The Community Engagement Intern will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with community agencies to promote DFSGP’s services. Our Community Engagement Intern will help grow relationships through the strategic identification of and effective communications with community agencies with the overall outcome of increased referrals to DFSGP.

This position is entirely hybrid with flexible hours and includes 10-15 hours of work per week.

Dress for Success Greater Philadelphia is a nonprofit organization that was re-established in 2022 with the mission of empowering women to gain financial independence and achieve self-defined success. Dress for Success GP manages several programs and organizes career, professional, and personal development workshops and events for women.

Essential Internship Duties:

• Grow referral partner network through the development of new and existing relationships by targeted outreach and community education
• Collaborate and coordinate with community agencies to provide DFSGP resources

• Review and update referral partner database as necessary (Constant Contact, Google Docs)
• Conduct and document follow-up with referral partners
• Collaborate with Director of Community Engagement, Board President and Executive Director on goals, strategies, and plans

Qualifications:

• Enthusiasm for DFSGP’s mission to empower women to achieve economic independence
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop/nurture relationships
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational and follow-through skills
• Highly motivated and self-directed
