The Lustgarten Foundation is the largest private funder for pancreatic cancer research. We have thus far contributed $250 million towards our mission of making Pancreatic Cancer a curable disease, and we won’t stop until that mission is accomplished. The Lustgarten Foundation’s Walk for Research is your chance to join thousands of others whose lives have been touched by pancreatic cancer.
Volunteers make our Walks possible! They help organize, manage, and implement every aspect, bringing so much personality to the event day experience. We need you to help us make the Syracuse Walk happen!
If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out the form found at this link: https://lustgarten.org/volunteer/For more information, please email Dalton Allison at dallison@lustgarten.org.

Pancreatic cancer is swift and silent, often undetected until it’s too late. It is estimated that more than 56,000 individuals will be diagnosed with the disease and 44,000 will pass away this year. The overall five-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is just nine percent and most with advanced cancer die within a year. There are no early detection tests, no effective long-term treatments and, unless the cancer is surgically removed in its earliest stages, there is no cure. It is the fourth-leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States.
