ORGANIZATION: Catholic Charities of San Francisco

Enjoy nature, outdoors and garden maintenance? This on-going project will help us provide a beautiful, healing green space for our clients to enjoy.

Catholic Charities Carmelita Women's Home is a program centered around the treatment of trauma through a holistic healing experience for our clients. Our philosophy and approach to their healing is to seek to balance the body, mind, emotions and spirit through utilizing holistic modalities such as yoga and meditation, pet therapy, nutrition/cooking and gardening.

Individual volunteers with experience in light landscaping such as: regularly clearing yard waste debris from the front of the property and sidewalk, including; trimming bushes, blowing leaves and debris from driveway, and cutting the grass.

  • 1x per month or as needed for 4-6 hours weekday or weekends. This is an ongoing/continuous project and we prefer volunteers who can make a minimum of 3-6 month commitment.
