Are you caring and compassionate? Do you have a passion for helping others? Want to be an integral part of our day-to-day operation? We would love to have you on our Klarus Team!

When you give us the precious gift of your time and interest, we give you a chance to make a real difference in someone’s life. You will be provided with the preparation and training needed for you to be comfortable and successful with your chosen assignment. After orientation and training, you’ll be ready to start the meaningful work of as a hospice volunteer. Flexible hours and create your own schedule. An hour can make a significant difference!

Being part of a patient’s care team, there are opportunities to work remotely. This may include:

  • Spreadsheets to document data
  • Hand writes letters and inspirational notes
  • Create flyers
  • Collecting data for different projects
  • Making homemade blankets, memory bears, crocheted items that you spend time making for patients

Description

Our focus relies on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so. The team-oriented approach of Hospice and Palliative Care includes expert medical care, pain management, emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the person’s needs and wishes. Support is provided to the person’s loved ones as well up 13 months after their passing.
