Board Members
The Board Member's responsibilities include advising on strategic plans, participating in evaluations, and monitoring its financial affairs. You should also prepare for board meetings, attend them regularly, and actively participate in them and any committee you’ve joined.
You should have significant professional leadership experience and strong diplomatic skills. An outstanding Board Member will be passionately committed to the organization's vision, mission, core values, and meaningful goals.
Board Member Responsibilities:- Knows the organization's vision, mission, core values, significant goals, programs, policies, and needs.
- Operates as a lead ambassador for the organization.
- Preparing for meetings by reviewing the agenda and supporting documentation ahead of time.
- Regularly attends board meetings and participates actively and conscientiously.
- Keeping up with issues and trends that affect the organization and/or its CAUSE.
- Participating in the evaluation of business operations and executives.
- Approving audit reports, budgets, and business decisions.
- They are contributing to the development of policies and strategic plans.
- Understanding the organization's financial affairs and ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are met.
- They maintain confidentiality in all internal organizational affairs.
- Avoiding any conflicts of interest.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership qualities and character.
- Previous board experience preferred.
- Knowledge of the organization and its CAUSE.

Description
SHE Will Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that offers crisis intervention and advocacy to a community of women in the local area. Founded in 2017 by Dr. Sherita McQueen, our primary aim is to gain access to life-changing resources and support to move our community of women and families from crisis and inadequacy to stability and economic self-sufficiency. We support, help, and empower women affected by crisis situations to change their financial status, improve their health, well-being, living conditions, and become agents of change and role models in their homes and communities.
