Recruiting Organization: Communication 4 ALL
We are a non-profit called Communication 4 ALL with a fantastic remote volunteer/service opportunity! Essentially, it's a program where volunteers provide written materials that will be used to teach non-speakers (primarily people with Autism but also other non-speakers) to communicate through spelling on a letterboard or keyboard. You can learn more about the spelling methodology here.
Volunteers will complete an online training that takes about an hour. After, they will work with an editor to write a 4-6 page lesson (essentially an essay with questions after each paragraph.) Lessons can be on any topic (cars, history, music, celebrities, etc.) and for any age (youth, teens, and adults.) These lessons will be published online and distributed for free for parents and professionals to use with Non-Speakers. Please email c4alessons@gmail.com to sign up.
