In Colombia, about 42.5% of the 51.5 million people live in poverty. This represents a problem because it means that they will not be able to access high quality education and many do not even study as they have to work to try to sustain their family. This can keep outstanding students from further developing their skills. Sciencious firmly believes that finances should not play a role in accessing education and this is why we want to offer free tutoring . This program is especially for the underprivileged population who seeks to learn and develop a passion for STEM

Description

Tutors have been asked what their STEM fields of interest are, so that they can be paired with the student whose needs they meet. They will have one-to-one lessons, in where they will work on one topic. Sciencious seeks to provide an environment where students can learn and explore their interests
