May Day 2023 Event will be held at Wedgewood Community Park at 6405 Wagner Rd, Pensacola, 32505, FL on Saturday, May 20th, 2023.
By Mr. Larry D Williams Sr. this is a community event with a Bake-off Contest, and BBQ Contest.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided and a May Day T-shirt
We are in need of about 80 volunteers for this year’s event. Volunteers are needed to:
- Help coordinates.
- Run events,
- Serve as timers!
- Scorekeepers
- Help staff with information tables.
- Manage equipment,
- Help set up.
- Break down.
- Talent Facepainting, balloon Art
- Pass out flyers and put up posters
No experience is needed; volunteers can serve for a day or at the event.

Mission Statement
As an independent non-profit organization, the mission of Pensacola Caring Hearts is to nourish and empower individuals, families, and the community, by ensuring access to healthy food, nutrition education, and advocacy for those at risk of hunger. Pensacola Caring Hearts also wants to provide seniors, children, homeless, and veterans the opportunity to participate in programs, services, and activities to meet the diverse, social, educational, cultural, and recreational needs of the community.
Description
Pensacola Caring Hearts, Inc. offers a comprehensive program of services, seminars, and information exchanging that eases the collaboration among various members of the community to empower low-income and homeless families and individuals in the Florida/ Alabama communities to improve their own lives as the communities. In addition to supplying key services to the communities, Pensacola Caring Hearts plans to register a maximum of ten families at a time into a Family Self-Sufficiency Program. The program's primary focus will be on finding affordable housing, dealing with legal issues, resumes, job hunting, and following and keeping employment. Pensacola Caring Hearts Inc also have food pantries in Pensacola FL, Brewton AL and Evergreen AL.
