Muscular Dystrophy Association is the #1 voluntary health organization in the United States for people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. For over 70 years, MDA has led the way in accelerating research, advancing care, and advocating for the support of our families. We are excited to host the MDA Muscle Walk Celebration to bring our MDA community together to raise funds to further our mission. We are looking for a group of committed volunteers to assist MDA Staff with day of event logistics - walk route set up and clean up, registration, greeting attendees, photographer, camper art station and more. We are committed to ensuring that your volunteer experience is a rewarding one, while helping to fuel MDA’s mission. Join us for this rewarding event.

Timing: The Houston Muscle Walk will take place on April 1st at Buffalo Bayou, Houston, TX.

Volunteer Requirements: This opportunity will require the ability to be outdoors, engage with MDA Families, Vendors and Sponsors with a positive and professional approach. For volunteers who wish to help with set-up/clean up, they will need the ability to lift 25lbs but this is not mandatory to participate in this volunteer opportunity.

Important COVID-19 Update: By agreeing to sign-up as an MDA volunteer for any events taking place in-person, you acknowledge that MDA may require you to wear a mask, present a negative COVID-19 test, and/or show proof of COVID-19 vaccination in order to participate. MDA will do its best to inform all volunteers if any of these measures are necessary in a timely manner in advance of the volunteer opportunity.
