Pacific Marine Mammal Center/Visit Laguna Gift Shop Volunteer

Gift Shop volunteers greet and assist visitors, answer questions about PMMC, and provide general information or membership brochures where appropriate. Volunteers will assist with gift shop purchases and cashless payment transactions. Volunteers also restock store shelves, help keep the gift shop tidy and encourage visitors to experience the PMMC yard for themselves. A free designated parking spot is available at the gift shop location.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Responsible 16+ years of age
  • Basic cashiering skills a plus
  • Willingness to commit to our storefront on a weekly basis (some flexibility allowed during summer months)

2 Shifts

  • 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM
    Morning shift
  • 01:30 PM to 04:30 PM
    Afternoon shift

Description

Pacific Marine Mammal Center was the first marine mammal rehabilitation facility in California and was established prior to the Marine Mammal Protection Act of 1972. We now share the responsibility for marine mammal rehabilitation with six other centers along the California’s coastline. At Pacific Marine Mammal Center, we love our volunteers! We utilize volunteers to help us with our animal care, docent & education, and gift shop needs.
