Come join our Klarus Hospice Volunteer Team! Are you caring and compassionate? Do you have a passion for helping others? Want to be an integral part of our day-to-day operation? We would love to have you as a hospice volunteer!

You will be provided with the preparation and training needed for you to be comfortable and successful with your chosen assignment. After orientation and training, you’ll be ready to start the meaningful work as a hospice volunteer.

Being part of a patient’s care team - you can make home visits to offer companionship for patients and relief for caregivers. This may include:

  • Make calls to patients/families (virtual)
  • Send encouragement cards (office or virtual)
  • Reading to a patient, or holding a hand
  • Staying with a patient while family member(s) take a needed break or keep go to an appointment
  • Shopping or doing errands for patient
  • Listening
  • Light household chores
  • Clerical and other office duties

VOLUNTEERS ARE NOT PAID EMPLOYEES AND DO NOT RECEIVE COMPENSATION FOR THEIR TIME
