Join Team Sense and cheer our Marathon runners past the finishing line!
Our Marathon runners raise vital funds which enable us to support people with complex disabilities - they need you to cheer them on and keep them motivated as they run 26.2 miles past some of London’s most iconic landmarks! Join team Sense and be a part of the electric atmosphere of the event!
We believe that no one, no matter how complex their disabilities, should be left out of life. Every penny raised by Marathon runners will go towards that goal. Whether it’s running accessible, fun holidays for disabled people, or providing sensory toys for a deafblind child.
Your support could really make a difference to the runners and to Sense’s essential fundraising work. Multiple Marathon-runner Donna says that "Sense’s cheer points are the highlights of the course. I have met many wonderful people over the years and can’t imagine not being part of the team."
There are several cheer points throughout the Marathon course, and we’ll need people to thank and congratulate our runners at the end too!
Our cheer points are:
- Mile 6.5 - The Gipsy Moth Pub, Greenwich
- Mile 14 - The Highway, (opposite) Holiday Inn
- Mile 19 - Third Space, Canary Wharf
- Mile 23 - Tower of London, Tower Hill
- Finish line - Tiger Tiger - 29 The Haymarket, London
We’ll have a chat with you about the role and send you a full briefing.
When you join Team Sense, you’ll get:
- A Sense T-shirt
- Reimbursement of pre-agreed travel expenses (up to £10)
Fill in our application form at:
https://bttr.im/duj42We’ll then call you for an informal chat and check you have everything you need to volunteer!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering as a Sense London Marathon Volunteer! By becoming a Sense volunteer you’ll be doing something hugely rewarding and will make a big difference to supporting people with complex disabilities.
If you have any questions, please contact the Volunteering Team at volunteer@sense.org.uk
We really look forward to hearing from you!
