If you are looking for an occasional or ongoing volunteer role helping homebound seniors maintain their independence, consider becoming a volunteer grocery Delivery Driver for Store to Door.

We have several shifts open picking up at the Hollywood Fred Meyer on both Wednesdays and Thursdays delivering to SE Portland and N Portland. We also always need on-call drivers if that works better for your schedule.

THE DETAILS:

You’ll pick up the already-shopped groceries on Wednesday and/or Thursday between 10:30 and 12:30pm from the Hollywood Fred Meyer and deliver them to your clients using your own vehicle. We reimburse you .62.5 cents per mile. Deliveries take anywhere from 1-2 hours. You would be delivering to the same clients each week, so you'll have a chance to develop a relationship with your clients to help them avoid social isolation. All you need is a good driving record, a few hours each week, and a commitment to make a difference. Volunteers must be at least 18yrs and pass a background check.
