Job Title:

Social Media Volunteer

Job Function:

The Social Media volunteer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Impact Sierra Leone's Media strategy in order to increase name recognition, online presence, and stimulate increased fundraising.

Duties May Include:

  • Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy
  • Manage and oversee social media content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other platforms
  • Measure the success of each online campaign
  • Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
  • Collaborate with the CEO and Digital Media Director

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role
  • Passion for issues related to Africa, sustainable development, women and children
  • Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media sites and best practices
  • Excellent multi-tasking skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Impact Sierra Leone is a US Based non-profit organization run primarily by volunteers in the United States and West Africa. We work within the framework of the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals to achieve less hunger, gender equality and health, wellness and nutrition. Our primary focus is on empowering young children (especially young girls) with the tools necessary to set them up for success through education, promoting good nutrition, mentorship and vocational training.
