Mission Statement

Her Destiny provides resources and opportunities for homeless and high-risk girls and young women by breaking the cycle of trauma and supporting a hopeful future for the next generation of women.

Description

HER DESTINY was founded with the goal of empowering at-risk girls and young women in Detroit to achieve their full potential. Our founder was deeply moved by the stories of girls and young women who felt trapped in their circumstances and lacked the resources and support they needed to succeed. To address this need, we set out to create a nonprofit organization that could provide a comprehensive set of services and resources to help these girls overcome their challenges and achieve their goals.

Our ultimate goal is to help at-risk girls and young women in Detroit become self-sufficient and achieve independence. To achieve this, we offer a range of programs and services that focus on financial literacy, education preparedness, job readiness, health and wellness, and mentorship. Through our programs, girls and young women can gain the skills, knowledge, and support they need to live independently and build successful futures for themselves and their families.

We believe that our programs and services will make a real difference in the lives of the girls and young women we serve, and we are always looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to join us in this important work. Whether you have skills in mentoring, teaching, fundraising, or event planning, we have a wide range of volunteer opportunities that can help you make a meaningful impact in the lives of at-risk girls and young women in Detroit. We welcome you to join us in our mission and help us create a brighter future for our community.
