Position: Volunteer Chairperson/President - Board of Directors

Her Destiny is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and restoring the lives of homeless and high-risk girls and young women. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chairperson/President to lead our board of directors.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the board and provide leadership to ensure the successful achievement of the organization's mission and goals
• Lead and facilitate board meetings to ensure the effective functioning of the board and to maintain focus on the organization's strategic objectives
• Act as the primary spokesperson for the organization, representing Her Destiny to the public, donors, sponsors, and partners
• Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other board members to set and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to guide the organization's growth and success
• Actively participate in fundraising and outreach efforts to raise awareness and financial support for the organization

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a successful leader or senior executive in the nonprofit or corporate sector
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
• Passion for and commitment to the mission of Her Destiny
• In-depth understanding of nonprofit governance, fundraising, and financial management
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders
