Can you Spare an Hour a Week for a Hospice Patient in Bedford?

We're looking for friendly people to make hour-long visits once a week.
Hospice volunteers help add to the quality of a patient's time at the end of life's journey. Typical activities include - visiting, reading, listening to music and providing support to the patient's family. Visits to patients are made in their homes or elder-care facilities in the DFW metroplex. Although our office is in Flower Mound, we have patients all over the DFW metroplex. We currently have several patients in the mid-cities but sadly, have no available volunteers in that area. Volunteers are matched to patients located near them.
Recommended commitment level: one-hour visits each week, hopefully at least three visits per month. No special skills needed.
Training takes about three hours and occurs in our Flower Mound office. The date for the next session will be Friday, August 25, from 1:00 to 4:00. Can you join us?

Arcy Hospice, formerly known as Ardent Hospice, is a community-based hospice program. We care for people who are at the end of life's journey where they live - at home, assisted living facilities and nursing homes.
Arcy Hospice has a dynamic team of staff and dedicated volunteers. It is part of the Arcy Healthcare family of companies which include MaximaCare Home Health, Arcy at Home and Arcy Supportive Care.
