English Tutor for Korean kids

We are seeking experienced, fun, and creative individuals to conduct one-on-one tutoring with Korean children (who live in Korea) in English.

• Provide instruction to students
• Write up lesson plans
• Work on homework assignments
• Participate in staff trainings
• Set up Zoom meetings, record tutoring appointments
• Make observations on how the student is progressing and make suggestions to the Director

Location: Virtual/on-line; children will live in Korea
Volunteer work hours are 4 hours per week, with a 6 month commitment.

Qualifications:

• Experience tutoring children (this can be formal or informal experience, such as tutoring peers at school or your siblings)
• Excellent knowledge in English skills; both spoken and written. (You will be required to demonstrate what you know).
• Professional, responsible, and mature
• Basic computer skills in powerpoint, word, screen share, Zoom, etc.
• Must be available to volunteer 4 hours a week and commit to 6 months of volunteer work

• Once successfully completing the volunteer work, we may be able to provide you with school credit toward graduation, volunteer hours for a degree program, and/or a strong letter of recommendation.
