Fostering is a fun and engaging way to support our rescue efforts--Broken Tail Rescue is 100% volunteer run and 100% of the dogs we rescue are placed in foster homes. The more homes we have, the more dogs we can help!
BTR provides all food, supplies and veterinary care. Our fosters are asked to provide love and daily care to dogs in their own homes. We also request our foster homes help with transportation to veterinary appointments when they can (or request additional help) and play an active role in the meet and greet and adoption process.

Mission Statement
Broken Tail Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based rescue organization dedicated to the rescue of unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats in urgent need. We work closely with local animal controls, animal shelters and rescue groups to ensure the placement of these forgotten animals. We will not discriminate on basis of health, age, or breed and will only consider humane euthanasia in cases of aggression or for quality of life due to untreatable medical conditions.
Description
We take in dogs and cats that are in need of new homes from local animal controls, shelters and owners and find appropriate homes for them after they are spayed or neutered. We do this through the use of foster homes and volunteers.
