Families in Action is weekend retreat to support families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The retreat is in Allenspark, CO. Volunteers are needed to partner with youth and/or children participating in a variety of activities in a beautiful mountain setting. Volunteers are set to be with youth and children Saturday morning, afternoon, and Sunday morning. We also make sure that volunteers can get up to the camp and back home and have the clothing for crazy mountain weather. We do require that volunteers are in attendance Friday night in order to meet other volunteers, all staff, and families. It also allows for time to see the camp and get situated.
