We are a female focused mentoring program. A Mentor is someone who provides support and guidance to the Mentee they're matched with. Our Mentors lead by example, not advisement, and allow the Mentee to make their own decisions throughout their journey. Mentors are positive and consistent role models and help their Mentees reach their personal goals! We host 4-6 free events throughout the year for you and your mentee.

Mission Statement

"To empower underserved girls to recognize their value and pursue higher goals through a community of women mentors."

Description

The mission of Girls Rising is to empower underserved girls to recognize their value and pursue higher goals through a community of women mentors. Our vision is a world where all girls know their value, have the skills to impact their own future, and have support available to reach their goals.

Our Big Sisters commit to spending time with their Little Sisters two to four times per month for a minimum of one year. We train our mentors to assist the Little Sisters with goal-setting, increasing self-esteem, and graduating each grade on time.

Through our program, the Little Sisters also gain a larger support network of women and girls. We host six to eight events each year for our matches, focused on exposure to new experiences, education, and building self-esteem and life skills.
