Three Oaks Hospice Volunteer Support Program is a great way for individuals to gain experience in fields providing healthcare, social services, and spiritual care. Volunteers are greatly valued as vital members of our hospice team. We are seeking volunteers for companionship visits, administrative support, bereavement support, pet therapy, music therapy, and other specialty services. Volunteers will have the opportunity to work/shadow alongside our RNs, CNAs, Chaplin, and Social Worker. In addition, they will be interacting/networking with local facilities and agencies in Beaver, Butler, Allegheny, and Lawrence County.

Description
Three Oaks Hospice provides end-of-life care in the Pittsburgh, PA area. Hospice care is designed for terminally ill individuals to provide them with comfort and peace during the remaining weeks or months of life. Hospice care consists of pain management and symptom control and your dedicated hospice team works together with your regular doctor to provide proper access to the medication and equipment you need. Emotional and spiritual support is essential to help ease your mind, and our family services give your loved ones added support. Hospice care is accessible in several different settings including your home, a relative’s home, or an assisted living facility so you can continue to live independently as long as possible with the added support you need to handle daily activities and personal care.
