Center For Family Services

Ready to make a lasting change in a youth’s life? Then consider volunteering as a Mentor and become part of a team that truly makes a difference for vulnerable and at-risk youth. We are looking for individuals who are compassionate, nurturing, understanding and willing to help & support our youth in various aspects of their lives. Activities include, but are not limited to, developing social skills, exploring career interests and furthering educational goals.

Requirements: Mentors must be at least 21 years old, pass all background checks and must commit to at least 4 hours of mentoring a month for 1 year (training and ongoing support will be provided during the course of the mentorship).

Center For Family Services works with youth who:

  • identify as LGBTQ+
  • are pregnant or parenting
  • are homeless
  • are involved in the juvenile justice system
  • are chronically absent from school
  • have behavioral or mental health challenges
  • have experienced abuse or neglect
  • are involved with the child welfare system
