Described as "emotional and kinetic" (San Francisco Bay Guardian), PUSH Dance Company performs vibrant contemporary dances, providing audiences an opportunity to examine issues of identity and intersecting cultures that surround and affect us all. Founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Raissa Simpson, PUSH maintains a philosophy that bold movement and intellect can coexist. PUSH has presented countless interdisciplinary works vivifying the personal, untold stories of individuals from unique and overlooked communities. Choreofest 2023 is lead by Ashley Gayle, PUSH Associate Artistic Director and choreographer. Volunteers can contact Lisa Ramos, PUSH Operations Coordinator.

Ensemble Mik Nawooj and Push Dance Company present Great Integration, a ground breaking Chamber Hip-Hop Opera.

Composer/pianist JooWan Kim teams up with the award winning Push Dance Company to execute the epic tale depicting the end and new beginning of the world. In this penultimate installment of the Mik Nawooj saga, Black Swordsman of dominance is chosen as the one to trigger the Great Integration of the world before the arrival of Celestial King. When all the 5 lords of material realm are conquered, the old world we know will merge into one and the Great Celestial King shall descend from 9th heaven to wipe out all the impurities of the world, thus creating a new world with brand new paradigm.
