Establish a long-term one-on-one relationship with a youth who is in need of a role model, and caring adult. Share your world with a youngster by taking them to a baseball game, bringing them to a cookout, helping them write a poem or taking them fishing for the first time. You might encourage them to aim for college, introduce them to the world of work or listen to their dreams, their hopes and their fears. Minimum time requirement is eight hours per month with a commitment of one year.

The Mentoring Program is ideal if you are over the age of 24. You would be matched with youth between the ages of 8 and 24. You will meet youngsters on our Dobbs Ferry campus. Visits are planned according to your schedule. You will give a youngster the opportunity to establish a meaningful friendship. The focus of the relationship may be social, educational or career-oriented.
