To teach and encourage adults who struggle with literacy, help families discover the joy of learning so all children start kindergarten ready to read, create hope for brighter futures and build a stronger, more self-sufficient, and engaged community for all of us.

Description

The Learning Lab is a computer-assisted learning center for adults and families with children ages 6 and under. Students receive English language and/or basic skills instruction including mathematics, reading, writing, spelling, GED preparation and workplace skills in a comfortable, confidential environment. Volunteer tutors assist the Adult Educator with 15-20 adult students per class. Children are enrolled in an Infant/Toddler or Preschool Program. Students are placed in a class according to their abilities and needs. All courses employ computerized, interactive learning systems.
