QUICK OVERVIEW
Food on Foot serves the unhoused, low-income, and at-risk populations in Los Angeles with a unique serving program every Sunday.
THIS VOLUNTEER ROLE is designed to be family friendly. Children are welcome to volunteer with their parents, guardians, family members, and friends. We encourage groups and youth to participate and accept community service hours based needs.
MISSION
Food on Foot is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting our unhoused and low-income neighbors in Los Angeles with nutritious meals, clothing, and a fresh start through life-skills training, full-time employment, and permanent housing.

As a Food on Foot volunteer, you're helping lives and brightening the future for our unhoused neighbors. From full-time jobs and housing to nutritious meals every Sunday.
VOLUNTEER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
We need support each Sunday to get some of our resources and supplies from our office/warehouse location: 5880 W. Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90035 at 9:00 AM and transporting them to the LGBT Center on Schrader Blvd. which is about 4.5 miles north of the office (1625 N. Schrader Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028).
REQUIREMENTS
Ideally, we would be able to have your support one Sunday per month as the consistency would have a huge impact on our services.
We usually finish within 60 - 90 minutes.

Food on Foot is a nonprofit dedicated to assisting our unhoused and low-income neighbors in Los Angeles with nutritious meals, clothing, and a fresh start through life-skills training, full-time employment, and permanent housing.
Description
As a volunteer, you'll strengthen our community by distributing food, clothing and essential supplies to 280+ unhoused and low-income neighbors. You will also meet and hear stories from the participants in our Jobs & Housing program. Graduates from this program earn their way off the streets with full-time jobs, fully-furnished apartments, life-skills training, and the confidence needed to make their accomplishments long-lasting.
Kids are welcome! Volunteering with Food on Foot is kid friendly and the perfect way to give back as a family. Children ages 6 and up are welcome. Everyone under 18 must sign up online and be accompanied by a supervising ticketed adult.

REQUIREMENTS
- One Sunday per month for a maximum of 90 minutes. We are always open to having more support on any other open Sundays, but we recommend no more than two in order to prevent "burn out" and manage expectations.
