Offering your time and heart to a Hospice Patient is rewarding for both you and the patient. It enriches their quality of life and peace to them and their families.
We have patients in Virginia Beach, Suffolk, Chesapeake, Norfolk and surrounding areas.
You can volunteer to offer companionship to patients; read a book, play games, help to write letters/cards or just talk. We are also in need of volunteers to offer relief to the caregivers like light housework, light yard work and meal prep.
We welcome volunteers who are interested in providing arts/crafts, music therapy, massage therapy and pet therapy. There is a need for administrative, bereavement and vigil support as well. This includes extra training and experience.
If you have a kind heart and are looking for meaningful ways to volunteer your time, this is the opportunity for you.
