Join the Pueblo Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee

Do you love to plan events? Or are you a natural networker? Bring your event planning, people skills, and other talents to our Walk to End Alzheimer's Planning Committee!

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness and money for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Use your talents and strengths as a member of the Walk Planning Committee.

Planning meetings will be held online or in-person. Times and location to be determined.

The 2023 Pueblo Walk to End Alzheimer's event will be held at the River Walk on September 16, 2023 at 10am.

Mission Statement

We lead Colorado in the fight against Alzheimer's disease and related disorders by increasing the understanding of dementia and its impact on family and community, providing information and support for those affected, and promoting the advancement of research.

Description

The Alzheimer's Association Colorado Chapter works with diagnosed individuals, families, caregivers and health care professionals to provide care and support for those who are affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. We provide a 24/7 Helpline; offer free and confidentail Care Consultations; manage 90 support groups monthly; oversee Memories in the Making art program in area nursing homes; present educational programs across the state; and assist in enrolling persons with the disease in safety programs. We offer culturally approptiate support for Latinos, African Americans and the LGBT community. Several time during the year we have fundraising events, including: The Walk to END Alzheimer's, The Longest Day, the Memories in the Making Gala and Riv/ALZ.
