Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and teach well developed lessons which enthuse and inspire students, and promote enjoyment of learning.
  • Effectively and appropriately differentiate instruction so as to meet all students’ learning styles with an appreciation for students’ learning differences.
  • Select and sequence appropriate materials, resources, and approaches according to the content area and audience of learners.
  • Work with community groups to deliver a range of projects such as housing projects to enhance their way of life.
  • Identify assets and capacities within communities.
  • Act as a facilitator to promote self-help in the community.
  • Assess, track, and provide relevant and timely feedback on achievement (performance and growth) and developmental needs to students, Eclectic Love, and other managers/colleagues.
  • Write reports on students with clear formative comments and targets as to how to improve work by defined deadlines given, and provide regular estimated grades and feedback on assessments.
  • Coordinating the delivery of services that contribute to improved outcomes for the community
  • Design, administer, and evaluate a range of formative and summative assessments as appropriate.
  • Complete administrative tasks as defined and by set deadlines.
  • Induct students appropriately to provide academic advice, counselling, educational guidance, and advisory support, including individual learning plans, as directed.
  • Engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders to foster and sustain partnerships.
  • Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or lead in the production and improvement of curriculum planning as appropriate, and undertake other academic project work as directed.
  • Provide feedback on materials, courses, and lessons to academic and other managers/colleagues as requested.
  • Utilize learning spaces and tools effectively (i.e., white boards, displays).
  • Attend meetings when required, and attend/deliver professional development sessions as directed.
  • Adhere to standards and procedures detailed in the EL Employee and Volunteer Handbook.
  • Address and respond to student and community issues/emergencies as needed.
  • Participate in evaluation process consistent with defined parameters.

Education

  • SHS graduate

  • Teaching/tutoring students of high school age desired

To raise children through love creating lasting changes in their lives to become future leaders regardless of race, religion, financial status, and/or disability.

Description

Eclectic Love, is a non-governmental organization, which has been in Ho since 2018. We are located at 44 Dome-Barracks Road, on the first floor of Rams Horn, opposite Winner’s Chapel International. We have empowered and educated over 650 children, youth, and women intellectually, socially, spiritually, psychologically, and financially through love within the Ho Municipality and Oti Region. Intellectually, engaging each child in educational activities such as tutoring, extra classes, climate change education, Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) education, Human Rights education, reading groups, and other activities that strengthen their minds. Socially, engaging each child in activities like community service, speeches within our communities, student lead seminars, dance, soccer, tennis, and basketball to mention a few. We do not discriminate against our children by any means at all. We work with children and youth with physical disabilities as well as with intellectual disabilities free of charge. We have been nominated NGO of the year on various platforms for two years. Our Founder has been nominated Founder of the year for two years too.
