ORGANIZATION: Project CURE

In Mbingo, Cameroon, a young mother dies at night, alone, because the hospital does not have the supplies to treat her, or the equipment to know that she is in cardiac arrest. In Sudan, doctors lack scalpels and blades. One doctor reports using the lid of a tin can to perform surgical procedures - with no anesthesia. Project C.U.R.E. collects thousands of pounds of donated medical supplies and equipment from medical manufacturers, hospitals, surgery centers and clinics. The majority of these items are new and overstocked supplies that are the result of renovation, replacement, re-orders or retirement. We ship this supplies and equipment to developing countries all over the world.

Oversee medical and non-medical volunteers in the proper identification, sorting, and boxing of disaster relief medical supplies. Through your service many people have a chance to touch the world.Weekdays and evenings, Saturday mornings from 9-noon.
