VOLUNTEER opportunities at Hawk Creek Wildlife Center are a great way to get connected to wildlife in a unique way! For over 35 years, Hawk Creek has served the Western New York community and beyond. Our educational reach is nationwide and our award-winning conservation efforts are recognized globally. We thrive to give thousands of animals a second chance, care for over 100 permanent animal residents, and reach audiences in the thousands per year with our exciting educational programming. Throughout our history, achieving our mission of connecting people with wildlife would not be possible without the help from our volunteers.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available, so whether you’re interested in gardening, animal care, graphic design, or other areas, we are bound to find a good fit.

Age requirements: Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Time Commitment: In order to work with or handle any animals a minimum requirement of 14 hours a month is required, as well as successfully passing all training and necessary coursework. Other volunteer areas have no minimum time commitment at this time, but regular attendance is encouraged.

Recruitment Process: Each volunteer will need to complete an application and interview. If selected as a volunteer you will be contacted to arrange a starting orientation day.
