Volunteer Advocate Program
Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Center for Empowerment! We welcome you to join the anti-sexual violence movement and learn how to support survivors in your community by volunteering for our Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate Program.
Confidential Sexual Violence Advocates (CSVAs) are trained to answer the 24-hour hotline and accompany survivors to forensic examinations, police stations, and court. CSVAs provide emotional support, information, and referrals to survivors and their loved ones.
The Center for Empowerment provides a free 50+ hour training for those age 18 and over who are interested in becoming a Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate. No experience is necessary, and bilingual individuals are encouraged to apply. If you are interested in volunteering, please email our Advocate Coordinator at advocate@co.middlesex.nj.us.
