We are seeking volunteers to help in the following areas:
Administrative (office)
Direct (work with patients)
Events
Veterans

Hospice volunteers support terminally ill patients and their families. They want to make a difference in the lives they touch during a difficult time and are an important part of the hospice team. A hospice volunteer becomes a trusted listener for the patient and caregiver.

Solace Healthcare is a locally owned hospice who wants to go above and beyond for its patients and families.
In order to do that, we need your help.
Volunteers are the heart of hospice.

Why are hospice volunteers important? Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness who might be near the end of life. They help family caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospices also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fundraising, community outreach and other operational areas.
Qualities of a Good Hospice Volunteer:

• Good Listening skills.
• An Understanding and Acceptance of Their Own Feelings Regarding Death and Dying.
• A Strong Comfort Level with People Approaching Death (however, direct experience with death and dying is not required)
