Foster a Rescued Dachshund (or bonded pair of dachshunds)

The Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue (RMDR) works with dachshunds and dachshund mixes. Being a dachshund (and doxie/mix) foster is doable! Turn your home into a welcoming B&B for a dachshund in need, on their way to their forever family! Spoil your little BFF with soft blankets and love-giving them a safe place to heal. Don’t doubt your own ability to make a difference & to have a ripple effect of good in the world!

Fosters do face challenges but we have your back and get through them together. We figure out what seems un-figure-out-able. You’re not alone at RMDR and if you have a question, or wonder if there’s an easier way to do something, or even-how to take care of something, many or our fosters have experience fostering dachshunds, growing up around doxies-and we try to help each other out! We believe it’s easier when you’re not alone.

Mission Statement

Helping dachshunds needing a new home get the care they require and find loving forever families.

Description

Founded in Utah, the Rocky Mountain Dachshund Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit dachshund rescue. RMDR works with dedicated volunteers and fosters who take compassionate care of the dachshunds that we help. Our fosters are the doxies temporary family, who love them as their own! They take them to their vet visits, the dog park, cuddle with them-and who help them get back on their soft little bean-paws with this big change in life--and get them ready to be adopted by their forever family!
