ORGANIZATION: InterFaith Works of Central New York

We host weekly citizenship classes for our clients to study for their citizenship test. Many of our clients have no or limited transportation access. The classes happen every Monday and Tuesday at our offices at 5:30pm - 7:30pm and transportation needs will happen before and after these classes. Volunteers would only need to sign up for one day unless if they had a desire or availability to do both days.

A volunteer orientation and a background check will be required and hosted through the agency. A proof of license and vehicle registration will be required from the volunteer. Additionally, the agency will provide mileage reimbursements.

2 Shifts

  • evening / 05:00 PM to 05:30 PM
    This is the pick-up shift. You will pick clients up from their living locations and drop them off at our offices.
  • evening / 07:30 PM to 08:00 PM
    This is the drop-up shift. You will pick clients up from our offices and drop them off at their living locations.
