This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) International Services (ISD)Response & Recovery (R&R)department. This is a 100% virtual (volunteer-from-home) opportunity. The GO Platform Product Vision Champion helps establish correct product vision and product roadmap, including prioritizing functionality that will add the most value to users. This position may also serve as a solutions architect identifying innovative solutions and approaches to system issues and enhancements.
- Work with product team to define product vision
- Help develop materials to communicate product vision
- Advise on product roadmap and sprint priorities
- Help ensure user needs are accurately reflected in requirements
- Explore and recommend technical solutions to meet user and system needs
- Join technical and/or sprint meetings to support development and work through issues as needed
Required:
- Reliable access to resources needed to volunteer 100% virtually
- Experience in agile software development
- Strong understanding of operating systems, software architecture, and databases
- Comfortable with ambiguity
- Comfortable working in a globally diverse team across many time zones
- Experience leading through influence
- Experience researching technical solutions
- Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies
- Resume required
Preferred
- Solutions architect experience
- Project management experience
- Product manager experience
- Knowledge of programming fundamental concepts
Length of Appointment: 1 year, renewable
