CBC's Thank the Donor program allows a patient, friend, or loved one to send an anonymous message to the person who donated the blood being transfused. The heartfelt and touching messages of gratitude sent by parents of childhood cancer patients, adult children of patients with chronic blood disorders and family members of trauma survivors will bring tears to your eyes. This is where we can all see the difference every unit of blood makes in our community.
We're looking for volunteers to place a small, heart-shaped tag with a QR code on each unit of blood distributed to hospitals. There are weekday shifts of 2 hour and 1.5 hours for volunteers to tag units in labs at CBC's Main Street administrative offices.
