ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Duties: Serves as nighttime contact for emergency situations. Uses park radio to communicate with and request assistance from first responders. Represents the park at the VAC. Answers questions, distributes information, and checks for compliance of regulations. Assists in educating visitors about safety and regulations. Assists with reservations including posting and tracking reserved sites, check-in, and check-out. May occasionally assist with trail roving and supporting formal interpretation programs. Provides information about trails within the park and uses a park radio to communicate emergency situations when roving. Volunteer may be asked to assist at visitor contact stations, other campgrounds, and can be assigned other duties as needed.
