Duties include conducting patrols through the city and neighborhoods to observe and report suspicious activity. Perform vacation house watches for city residents who are out of town for extended periods. Transporting department vehicles to service and repair appointments. Assist the Traffic Enforcement Team with the deployment of speed warning and monitoring equipment.
In addition, there are opportunities to assist in special events such as assisting in officer training by taking part as a role player in training scenarios. Assist with traffic control and be an extra presence during community events. In the event of an emergency, would also be an extra resource assisting with things such as traffic control or doing an area search in the event of a missing person.
