Team Members (volunteers) will choose the specific team that they would like to join at our 90 minute hybrid orientation where they will have the opportunity to learn more about volunteering with The Cupcake Girls. We ask Team Members to complete five hours (minimum) per month on their teams; complete assigned tasks, attend monthly team meetings, etc., in our Portland office (unless the role is remote). *Note: Client Advocate team requires more than 5 hours of volunteer time per month. Due to Covid, some meetings, events, and tasks are remote or hybrid. Team Members will need to complete a $17 background check before onboarding for the safety of our Participants (financial assistance available if needed). Remote volunteer opportunities are open Nationally; that’s right! You don’t have to be physically present in Portland or Las Vegas to volunteer! We also offer one-time volunteer opportunities for large groups. If interested, please contact: grace.aasen@thecupcakegirls.org.

If you plan to be on either of these teams, you would be placed on the Resource team for 30 active days. For Client Advocates, a required training is needed which is hosted two times per year.

We partner with our Participants to build comprehensive, holistic plans to help them pursue their goals and objectives, working to ensure that we're matching the right solutions to the right individual at the right time.
