Assists with a variety of clerical tasks to help keep the ACOS office functioning smoothly. Tasks include thanking donors, making phone calls, research, data entry, filing auditing and other administrative tasks to be assigned based on volunteers’ interests and abilities

2 Shifts

  • 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM
    Office clerical work, phone calls, data entry, research, social media, event planning, public relations & advertising and other tasks as needed.
  • 03:00 PM to 09:00 PM

AIDS Care Ocean State (ACOS) is dedicated to providing quality affordable housing, case management, medical & nursing care, and prevention to adults, families, adolescents & children who are affected by or at risk for HIV infection. ACOS will act as an advocate for individuals and families at risk while providing those wrap-around support services needed to ensure and maintain a high quality of life for the people we serve. Our vision is a world with no new HIV infections, and those living with HIV and AIDS do so with support, equality, respect and dignity. Your gift will help us to achieve these goals.

Description

ACOS has earned its place as an established, trusted and valued part of the community and is seen as the leading force in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Currently, we provide services to more than 500 families and we have been and remain firmly rooted in the belief that everyone has the right to quality healthcare and equal access to HIV prevention, treatment and support.

Our services are crucial to the health and well-being of every client. Lack of housing, food and other social determinants are directly linked to poor health outcomes, having a detrimental effect on proper nutrition, medication adherence, family stability and job insecurity have increased depression and loneliness.
