About SHAREBABY

Location:

1792 Union Ave, BALTIMORE, MD 21211, US

Mission Statement

ShareBaby believes that every child deserves the proper supplies and equipment for the best start in life. ShareBaby collects diapers, clothing, and other basic goods and distributes these items to families in need through community-based organizations.

Description

ShareBaby was founded in November of 2014 by three local moms who wanted to meet the desire of mothers to share their new or gently used baby items with the families that need them most. ShareBaby began collecting from friends and family and storing donations in their basements and garages. By the summer of 2015, they had distributed more than 14,000 items to children in need. In August of 2015, ShareBaby started Baltimore’s first diaper bank to meet this specific deficiency in public assistance to mother and babies.

Since then, with the help of an army of volunteers, significant contributions from the local community and the support of national partners, ShareBaby has been able to significantly increase its impact on diaper need and material hardship in the lives of families with young children across Baltimore City.
