Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
Description
The Salvation Army Chartiers Valley Service Center provides a large-scale food pantry, rent/utility assistance, and seasonal programs throughout the year to the community. We participate in the Angel Tree program, a Back to School event, Project Bundle Up, etc. We also have specialized programming such as a Birthday Toy program for children, a Welcome Home program for immigrants, and support for new mothers with new babies. We can only make this happen with the assistance of dedicated volunteers and staff - and we would love for you to join our team.
