Learn More About Our Volunteer Areas!

Budget & Finance - Our team is made up of volunteers who enjoy working with finances, budgets, compliance, state and federal financial reporting as well as the entrants and winners of the car drawings during CarFest. We are looking for people who have experience in accounting, tax, law as well as people who just enjoy working with the public during the event.

Community - Community volunteers interact with the public and add help to make CarFest entertaining, educational, and fun! They assist in the Kids Corner, serving meals, coordinating outside events, and serve as CarFest representatives to the vehicle repair recipients and free car drawing winners.

Marketing & Promotions - Marketing & Promotions is responsible for generating the revenue for this non-profit event. Since the CarFest event is free to the public our goal is to generate enough revenue through sales of sponsorships, banners, and booth spaces to give $100,000 to select automotive technical schools.

Mechanics & Technicians - CarFest is looking for the best and brightest mechanics, technicians and parts counter people to assist in repairing vehicles identified by charitable organizations. Our volunteers will have an opportunity to shar their professional experience and knowledge with Boy Scouts and local high school, trade school, and college students to educate them on the benefits of a career in the automotive industry.

Operations - Operation volunteers do the pre-event set up, assist with the smooth operation during CarFest, and handle the breakdown at the end of the event. These volunteers have a wide range of skills to include construction, organization, and communication combined with a "get it done" attitude.

Student Participants - The members of CarFest are invested in the success of our local youth interested in joining the automotive industry. Along with providing $100,000 in cash and equipment to local automotive technical schools, we also provide current automotive technology students with the opportunity to get hands-on experience working alongside some of the best technicians and volunteers in the San Antonio area. If you are a current automotive technology student or an instructor interested in accompanying students during CarFest, then this is the option for you.
