Capitol Campaign for (Sustainable) Art Retreat

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: RIVER ART WORKS

River Art Works
was established in 2018 to purchase 35 to 40 acres in the tourism belt. The overall goal is to build a comprehensive art retreat that provides our region's creative people a permanent solution to the need for continual support of our creative, artistic, community sector. As Westmoreland County's Comprehensive Study points out, the arts are a primary means to revitalize our youth population. River Art Works goals also include workforce development by including cutting edge creative technology and business. studies at the retreat center.
River Art Works was challenged to bring a smaller goal forward during covid and develop a smaller pterodactyl as proving ground. ArtTEK for TEENS took the full three years to develop. It is to begin March 20, 2023. It is now time to turn our focus back on the original goals set by our Board of Directors.
We are looking for community leaders who want to be a part of our Founder's Circle by building a strong Capitol Campaign.
If this is your gift, please reach out to Jane.

About RIVER ART WORKS

Location:

35 S 7TH ST, YOUNGWOOD, PA 15697, US

Mission Statement

River Art Works: established to build our region’s first comprehensive art retreat for aspiring and professional artists. The retreat will focus on enhancing artists’ education with exposure to global influences from visiting experts, cutting edge STEAM, and a diverse collaborative setting. This retreat will include a broad genre of arts and related sciences.

Description

Programs: ArtTEK for TEENS POP UP ART EVENTS, Art Tournament
Artistic communities have been the most successful tool to revitalize for over 150 years in the USA. Our goal is to build the hub that connects our region's existing art culture, dramatically strengthening it. River Art Works also includes sharing knowledge between professional artists and related sciences in order to broaden their concept and knowledge of creative opportunities. Related sciences (STEAM) are not limited to holography, robotics, 3D printing, digital, artificial reality, artificial intelligence, and laser sciences. This fantastic opportunity allows time away from daily distractions further broaden their traditional skills and time to connect with other arts and sciences to develop new creative strategies. As artists shape their own creative lives also contribute to our region's redevelopment.

An art retreat of this magnitude would provide the private and public and gathering inspirational space. It will impact workforce development and revitalization of our youth population. Please support this impactful project be it through donation or volunteerism. You will become a part of our much needed solution.
