We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Science Manager to join our team as a volunteer. As a Data Science Manager, you will provide leadership and guidance to our team of data scientists, ensuring successful project completion, and the delivery of high-quality data-driven insights.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the data science projects from start to finish, ensuring successful project completion within the given time frame.
• Supervise and provide guidance to a team of data scientists to ensure they stay on track and meet their objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, and objectives.
• Create project plans, including timelines, milestones, and budgets.
• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to provide project status updates and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential issues or roadblocks, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science management or related field.
• A master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. A PhD degree is preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, team members, and data scientists.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in data science software and tools, such as Python, R, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts and algorithms.
• Passion for mentoring and developing the skills of data scientists.
• Availability to commit to a volunteer role for a minimum of 6 months.
