Screeners are the first round of people who view the films after a film is submitted to the festival. If a film receives a high enough score between two screeners, it moves to our Programmers, and then finally to Jury members.
We need you to have a strong point of view, and that you can comment and give insight into your response. Your notes are important and help us make our final decisions. Also comments about a certain genre it could fall under would help us as well.
Your job is to rate each film on a scale of 1-10.
SCREENING FILMS ONLINE
It is important to screen the films assigned to you and rate them right away, no longer than 24 hours after viewing. If occasionally your schedule does not allow for you to screen your films within the timeframe, please let us know if there is a problem so we can reallocate films. There is an order to how we screen and if a film is not screened within that window just let us know so we can move the film along.
There are nice fest perks for being a screener, depending on the amount of time you put in.

Description
Binge Watching for Film Lovers! The San Diego Film Festival is rapidly developing a reputation for premiering blockbuster films right here in San Diego. In 2012 we saw Silver Linings Playbook, Beasts of the Southern Wild and Quartet here long before they became box office hits. In 2013, we premiered 12 Years a Slave, The German, and August: Osage County. And last year it was The Imitation Game and Whiplash, which were honored with four Oscar wins and 11 nominations, plus Wild, Mr. Turner, St. Vincent, The Good Lie, We are looking for hundreds of talented, enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to plan, promote, and produce events and support our guests year-round and during the Festival (October 4-October 8).
